Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) has sponsored batch of 40 students drawn from its various projects areas to a three month’s training programme on ‘site-accountant trade’ at Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC), Faridabad. The training programme was inaugurated by K.K. Upadhyay, Addl. G.M. (Law). The batch includes students from SJVN’s projects in Himachal Pradesh and Uttrakhand. There are five girl students also attending the programme. This is the third batch of students drawn from Project areas. The first batch was imparted training in electrician trade while the second batch is undergoing training in the welder trade.

K. K. Upadhayay said that these students would be able to acquire their skills in the field of site-accountancy. Awadhesh Prasad, Sr. Manager (CSR), SJVN highlighted the SJVN’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme and informed that the students have been sponsored as a part of the Company’s wide ranging CSR program.
