Worried for the apple growers of Jubbal-Kotkhai and Rohru region, MLA Rohit Thakur sought detail of progress in the Theog-Kotkhai-Rohru road project in the house. In reply to his question, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh informed the house that the project work had been divided into two packages and had been sent for the sanction of World Bank. He said that revised DPR has put the cost of the project at Rs 304 Crore against Rs 228.25 Cr. The cost of the project has escalated by over Rs 75 Crore. Chief Minster said that the tenders would only be invited for the contract work after the revised DPR is approved.
