Urban Development Minsiter Sudhir Sharma said that the urban areas of Himachal Pradesh would soon get a face lift as the Asian Development Bank is releasing a sum of Rs 475 crore for this purpose. Minister said that the Govt will spend these funds to improve street light, drinking water, roads and parking facilities of towns.

Minister also said to start regular flights from Delhi to Dharamsala after the aviation regulator DGCA gives the clearance for it. He said that Himachal Pradesh is the primary attraction area for tourists, especially a large number of the foreigners visit Dharamsala and its surroundings and with the regular air service more tourists will visit this town.

To easy the traffic congestion on the Dharamshala-Mecleoganj road, HP Govt is erecting ropeway and to complete it early, Govt mulling to take this project back from Tourism department and be handed over to Himachal Pradesh Infrastructure Development Board.
