Dr SK Sharma, Vice-Chancellor of the host university, said as many as 5,000 farmers from the state took part in the mela. He also detailed various programmes of the government to boost farm production. Dr KK Katoch, Director of Extension Education, said the farmers also participated in the question-answer session to resolve their problems. They also visited the research farm of the university.
