On the occasion of the state’s 66th Foundation Day function held at the historic Dhalpur Ground at Kullu, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh termed roads as lifelines for development of hill areas.

Chief Minister stated that an amount of Rs 2291 crore has been earmarked for expansion and strengthening of roads across the State. He further added that his Government is committed to construct 515 km motorable roads along with 35 bridges during the current financial year. He also announced to connect 80 remote villages to road.

However, here I would like to draw his attention towards the roads leading to Himachal Pradesh’s biggest multi specialty hospital ‘Indira Gandhi Medical College’ (IGMC), which are eagerly waiting for the timely repair. Big potholes make difficult to wade this road. Patients and daily commuters are suffering hard from it.
