To mark the 66th Himachal Day function at Hamirpur, Mukesh Agnihotri, Industries and Information & Public Relations Minister presided over the district level function held at Hamirpur district. He unfurled the National Flag and took salute at an impressive march past presented by Police, home guard and NCC cadets. A colourful cultural programme was presented on the occasion.

Agnihotri said that three new state of the art industrial areas would be developed in Una, Solan and Kangra districts of the State. He said that to attract investors to invest in the State the Government would adopt a policy of ‘Industry by invitation’. He said that clearances for industrial projects would be given within a period of 90 days of receiving the application.

Minister said that the State Government under the leadership of Virbhadra Singh Chief Minister has strongly taken up the matter for restoration of special industrial package to the State till the year 2020 at various levels in the Union Government. He said that the State Government has constituted ‘Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board’ for the welfare of the persons working in unorganized sector. An assistance of Rs 21000 would be provided for marriage of two children of building and construction workers.

Inder Dutt Lakhanpal and Rajinder Rana MLAs, Sunil Sharma, DCC President, Kuldeep Pathania former MLA, Ranjit Verma, other senior leaders of the districts, J.R Chauhan, SP, other senior officers and prominent persons of the area were present on the occasion.
