To mark the celebration of completion of 30 years of Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh’s association with Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha, an exhibition titled “Remarkable contributions of Virbhadra Singh in three decades” was set up in the premises of Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha here today. Virbhadra Singh evinced keen interest in the exhibition which showcased some of his memorable moments of last three decades.

Speaking on the occasion, Virbhadra Singh said that Himachal Pradesh had made tremendous progress and development since its formation in all sectors. He said that notable progress was made in Education, Roads, Health, Hydro Power, Agriculture and Horticulture during this period. He said that it was only possible due to the hard work and co-operation of the people of the State.

Chief Minister said that it was a matter of pride that today Himachal Pradesh had emerged as a leader in sectors like Education, Health and Hydel Power only due to sustained efforts, vision and endeavour of Congress Governments who had ruled the State maximum and hard worked for uplift of the common man. He said that his Government was committed to all-round development of all areas of the State without any discrimination. He said that momentum would be given to the development in the State that would boost economic activities besides raising the socio-economic status of the people of the State.

A documentary produced by Department of Information and Public Relations titled ‘ Himalaya Ka Karmyogi: Virbhadra Singh’ based on the life and contribution of Sh. Virbhadra Singh was also screened on the occasion.

Earlier, the ‘ Photo Exhibition’ was inaugurated by Speaker, H.P. Vidhan Sabha, Brij Bihari Lal Butail. Deputy Speaker, Jagat Singh Negi, MLA, Sohan Lal, Advisor to CM T.G.Negi, Principal Secretary to CM, V.C. Pharka, Principal Private Secretary to CM Subhash Ahluwalia, Secretary H.P. Vidhan Sabha, Balbir Tegta, Director, Information and Public Relations Rajender Singh, others officers and employees of State Government and H.P. Vidhan Sabha were also present on the occasion among the others.

Vidhan Sabha Class-III Employees Association President, Jitender Singh Kanwar and other members of the association felicitated Chief Minister, Virbhadra Singh on completion of his three decades association with H.P. Vidhan Sabha.
