Vice President of the Indian National Congress, Rahul Gandhi holding “performance review” meeting of the functioning of the Congress led state Govt and the party organisation at New Delhi on May 3.

The exercise is part of Rahul’s plan to carry out a performance appraisal in corporate style. Besides Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) chief Thakur Sukhwinder Singh (Sukhu), AICC general secretary Birender Singh Chaudhary and Secretary Anees Ahmed will also be present during the meeting. It will be a regular event as he plans to hold a quarterly review.

In this meeting, Chief Minister and the PCC chief will have to present a roadmap for the next three months. It’s speculating that the progress made towards implementation of the main election agenda, the manifesto and the chargesheet against the BJP regime submitted by the Congress to the President of India will also be in focus.

Issues like appointment of chief parliamentary secretaries (CPS) and chairpersons of boards and corporations can be discussed as these appointments had been held up for want of clearance from the party high command. Lok Sabha polls and bye-election of Mandi Lok Sabha seat expecting to be featured in the meeting.
