The state unit of the ABVP has accused private universities for violating the decision of the government and the directions of the State Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Commission regarding admission to various courses for the ensuing academic session.

ABVP alleged that private universities are violating the norms set by the Govt for the admission in MTech courses as they are admitting students who had not qualified any entrance test. Earlier State Govt had ruled to carry out the national entrance test (GATE) and the state entrance test conducted by the State Technical University, and on the basis of that student would get admission in MTech courses. However ABVP has alleged that most of private universities in state are admitting students without any preliminary test.

ABVP has demanded through inquiry into it and urged the State Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Commission to enquire into the high cost of the prospectus and also get the details of prospectus sold by universities. ABVP also demanded Commission to get the details of the entrance test passed by the students admitted to these courses.
