Doctors from AIIMS and PGI to give free treatment in medical camps at Bal Mela Nagrota

The two days long Bal Mela Nagrota is to begin today at Gandhi Maidan, Nagrota Bagwan. This mela is being organised by the Bal Mela Committee of Nagrota Bagwan to facilitate Nagrota Bagwan legislature and cabinet Minister of Food and Civil Supplies, Transport and Technical Education GS Bali on his birthday.

This is annul festival and this year event includes a medical camps in which doctors from AIIMS, Delhi, Dr Gautam Sharma and Dr Vinod Paul, child specialist, Dr Shakti, herpetology expert, Dr Gulati, ENT expert, Dr Gulati, nephrologist, Dr Malik and Dr Yashpal from PGI, Chandigarh, will provide free advice and medicines to patients.

In this medical camp team of doctors will provide dental, skin and VD eye; OBG, diabetes, handicapped, heart checkup & urology camp (Fortis Hospital) and Hepatitis check-up. Dr SK Sharma and his team from Rotary Eye Hospital, Palampur, would conduct free cataract operations at the camp. Hearing-aid machines would also be distributed to patients.

Blood donation camp is also being organised, where any healthy person of age 18-60 years with weight over 45 kg can donate blood.

Bollywood playback singers and musicians would entertain the gathering on the occasion. These included Pandit Lalit, Abhijeet Sawant, Rajeev Thapa, Babesh and Shilpi. Fashion show will also be organised.

Tibetan spiritual guru Dalai Lama, and Tibetan Prime minister, minister of HP Cabinet along with MLAs will be among dignitaries on the occasion.
