Opposition walkout from the Assembly over MC (Amendment) Bill

Ravi was pointing over the incomplete draft, which was earlier raised by the other opposition member Mahender Singh, and was asking for a complete copy before any decision. Other BJP leaders were also protesting against the bill as senior BJP leader Rajiv Bindal suggested sending it to the select committee, whereas Suresh Bhardwaj and Mahender Singh termed it useless practices.

He said today’s walkout was totally unjustified as the Municipal Corporation (Amendment) Bill had been circulated two days ago. He stated that the BJP members haven’t sought any amendment to the Bill and also haven’t made any objection earlier as well. Virbhadra Singh said that opposition doing it to get cheap publicity and it shows the reflection of the insecurity and frustration among the BJP members, Singh added.

Sudhir Sharma, Urban Development Minister apprised Vidhan Sabha speaker that they have provided complete draft to the opposition and blame them for not reading it thoroughly. Mukesh Agnihotri, Anirudh Singh also shown their protest against opposition and termed walkout unjustified.
