State Government spokesman revealed that the second round of counselling of candidates for admission to unfilled vacant seats for undergoing 3 ½ years General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) training would be conducted in the Auditorium Hall, Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla from 25th September to 28th September, 2013.
The counselling of General (Main) candidates of Medical stream having percentage of 59.20 % to 66.00 % marks would be conducted on 25th September, 2013 at 10.30 AM and the candidates of Medical stream having 40.00% to 59.00% marks and Non-Medical stream having 61.00 % and above marks would be conducted on 26th September, 2013 at 10.30 AM.
The counselling of General, IRDP candidates of Non-Medical stream who had secured 40 % and above marks, Scheduled Caste (Main) Category candidates of Medical stream with 35.00 % to 59.80 percent marks and Non-Medical stream with 58.00% and above marks would be conducted on 27th September, 2013 at 10.30 AM.
The counselling of ST (Main) candidates of Arts and Commerce stream having 35.00% and above marks and candidates of OBC (Main) of Non-Medical stream with 40.00% and above marks and Arts and Commerce stream with 62.80% and above marks would be conducted on 28th September, 2013 at 10.30 AM.
He said that the first preference during the counselling for filling up vacant State quota seats would be given to those candidates in order of merit of 10+2 Medical Group only and in case of seats still remaining vacant after exhausting the merit of 10+2 Medical Group, the second preference would be given in order of merit of the candidates in 10+2 Non-Medical and thereafter 10+2 Arts and Commerce streams.
He said that all the interested candidates who had already applied for the course should appear for the counselling on the scheduled date, time and venue alongwith all the original documents and they should also bring photo copy of each certificate duly attested by the Class-I gazetted officer. He said that the candidates who had already applied and fall in merit against each category would be considered for the counselling.
