Shimla: To fight against government decision of taking over its properties all over state, the beleaguered HPCA has knocked the door of the Himachal Pradesh High Court.

The HPCA has challenged the Congress led state government and the case has been listed for hearing on Thursday.

Earlier on Oct 27, the Virbhadra led state government has cancelled the lease of lands given to HPCA, which was given to a society for the promotion of cricket in state, and took possession of international cricket stadium and Hotel Pavilion at Dharamsala and lands at Bilaspur, Nurpur, Kotkhai and Lalpani Shimla in the mid night.

Decision of taking over the HPCA’s properties was taken in the cabinet meeting. It was pleaded that land was given to the society and as Anurag Thakur has changed society to company thus it’s illegal as Govt land can’t be leased out to company.

Though state BJP has demanded immediate roll back of order and protesting across the state, but Govt seems deterrent to live with its action.
