Shimla: State Association of Medical and Dental College Teachers (SAMDCOT), IGMC Shimla, contributed Rs. 3.92 lakh towards Chief Minister Relief Fund. Dr. Arvind Kandoria, President of SAMDCOT presented cheque to Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh.

The Office bearers of SAMDCOT also presented a demand charter to the Chief Minister demanding time bound promotions as Consultants working in different Departments in IGMC Shimla have to wait for 10-12 years for promotion. They also requested that their seniority should be counted from the entry into Medical College as Assistant Professor instead of the time when a faculty member becomes Professor.
