Sukhu welcomes passing of Lokpal Bill in Rajya Sabha

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) President Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today welcomed the passing of Lokpal Bill in Rajya Sabha and said that a new era of transparency will usher in the country after the enactment of anti-corruption laws.

Himachal Congress president said that a silent revolution to eradicate corruption has started from the last five years in the country under the leadership of UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and AICC Vice President Rahul Gandhi,” adding that the Government of India has also formulated separate laws to eradicate corruption in the country.

Sukhu said that general public will benefit hugely after the enactment of Lokpal Bill as corruption come down significantly and their grievances will be sorted out without any delay.

Congress president also praised Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi for his commitment to the passage of the Lokpal Bill in Parliament and pushing forward the historic anti-corruption law in the country.
