Shimla: Chief Electoral Officer Narender Chauhan said here today that the work of Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls for all legislative constituencies had been completed with effect from 1st January, 2014 as qualifying date and final photo electoral rolls had been published on 6th January 2014. He said that there were 46,22,101 registered voters at the time of publication of draft of photo electoral rolls in all 68 assembly constitutes.

Chauhan said that now there were 46,74,187 registered voters in all 68 assembly constituencies at the time of publication of Photo Electoral Rolls and 93,638 new voters were registered whereas 41,552 were deleted due to death, migration, double registration etc. during the revision. Adding that there had been increase of 52,086 voters, in the electoral rolls. He said that there were 23, 90,117 male and 22,84,070 female voters and photo identity cards of all the voters had been prepared.

He said that 14-Sulah, Assembly Constituency had highest 88,585 electors and 21-Lahaul & Spiti Assembly constituency had lowest 22,446 electors.

Chief Electoral Officer said that revised photo electoral rolls of all the electors were available at District Electoral Officers, offices of Electoral Registration Officers/ Assistant Electoral Registration Officers and all polling booths with booth level officers for inspection, free of cost.
