Hamirpur: BJP senior leader and Former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal has accused the state government of pressuring officers to depose against him before the Vigilance.

Dhumal, who has opened a front against Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, accused him for misusing the Vigilance to target his political opponents and officers. He claimed that the statement given by IAS officer KK Pant before the Vigilance at Dharamsala in the HPCA case was prepared beforehand at the behest of the state government.

Former Chief Minister clarified that during his tenure he had directed the then Kangra DC to prepare a report regarding a damaged building and take appropriate action in the matter. He stated that action was initiated by the administration on the report of the executive engineer and other officers.

Dhumal termed Chief Minister corrupt and asked him to clarify his stand on irregularities committed by him and his family and dared him to reply the questions raised by opposition BJP. He stated that instead of clarifying his side, CM was blaming others and trying to misrepresent the facts to mislead the Congress high command and the state’s people.

Leader of Opposition vowed to take it to the logical end and would continue its agitation across the state demanding his resignation till he resigns from his post.
