Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh said that analyzing the defeat of BJP in Lok Sabha elections in the State, it seems that Prem Kumar Dhumal has come under heavy pressure and because of this has lost stability of mind. Almost every day Dhumal was issuing baseless statements of overthrowing the Congress governments both at the centre and in the state. Singh stated that Dhumal not only he was insulting the constitution of the country but also the legislative principles.

Virbhadra was addressing election rallies in Ambota, Churu, Chowki-Maniyar, Sohari and Mairi in Una district which falls under the Hamirpur parliamentary constituency. CM said

“Mostly, it has been the tradition of the congress party that the decision on the prime minister of the country was taken after general election to the parliament but Narinder Modi was projecting himself as he has become the prime minister of the country”

Virbhadra Singh said that Modi claiming to form the next government in the centre, but he should have the knowledge that it was necessary to gain majority by any party to become the prime minister of the country. Taking a jibe, Virbhadra Singh said that it seems that Narinder Modi, along with BJP leader has also become future-teller. Chief Minister said that the people of the country were wise enough to elect their leader and knows well how to keep away those who can’t take up the responsibility of ruling the country.

Chief Minister said that congress party was synonyms of development and during past one year the congress government in the state has achieved many milestones in overall development. Virbhadra Singh said that Himachal made a rapid stride in field of development since the inception of the state and today stands as a role model of development amongst all the Himalayan states of the country.

Rajinder Rana, congress candidate from Hamirpur Lok Sabha constituency while addressing the gathering said that Anurag Thakur should tell the people of the constituency that why RS 4.90 crore of MPLAD fund was surrendered and not utilized by him which affected the development of the area. He said that Anurag was a high profile leader and has nothing to do with the problems of the people of the state.

Mukesh Agnihotri, minister appealed to the people of the area to vote in favor of Rajinder Rana to ensure equitable development of the parliamentary constituency.
