While addressing the electorates, Chief Minister targeted at BJP PM candidate Narender Modi and accused him for completely failing to discharge his responsibility in an effective manner and his political ‘Report Card’ reveals that during his tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat, it witnessed large scale riots in the Godhra where large number of people were mercilessly killed and Modi is not fit for the becoming the Prime Minister of the country from any angle.

Virbhadra Singh said that the congress governments, whether in the State or at the centre, had contributed a lot in making the country self-reliant. Singh stated

“Modi is not a superman or a magician who is claiming to solve all the problems of the people of the country with a ‘blink of an eye’.

He claimed that a wave was being created in Modi’s favour through media by the BJP to misguide the people, but the ground reality was far from this. He said that state BJP leaders and Modi are raking up Gujarat model of development but there were many other states which were far more developed and self reliant than Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh was one of them. The chief Minister said that if a strong and secular government would be formed at the centre it would pave the way for development of all the states equally.

Launching tirade against the BJP leaders, Virbhadra Singh said that the BJP do politics based on Region and religion and try to mislead the people on these issues. He said that the former chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal remained busy in nepotism and favouritism and the development of the state came to standstill during his regime. He said that the BJP candidate from Shimla carries a tag of corruption while he was MP whereas Mohan Lal Brakta was an honest man having clean image and a dedicated worker.

He claimed that the congress will win all four Lok Sabha seats in the state and foreseeing the results the leaders of the BJP were getting frustrated and were issuing frivolous statements in media.

Virbhadra exhorted the people to fully support Mohan Lal Brakta. He said that the formation of Congress government at the centre will open new vistas of development for the state.
