Himachal Pradesh BJP has accused Narinder Chauhan, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), for ignoring the complaints of the violation of the model code of conduct against the Congress party and the state government.

Party spokesperson Ganesh Dutt in a press conference dubbed him as a “Congress agent.” Dutt believed that the CEO should have taken suo moto notice of the reported remarks of Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi during his Solan rally, against Narender Modi on Muslims.

He said the Chief Electoral Officer ignored it and now the Election Commission had taken notice of it on the BJP’s complaint in Delhi and sought a report from the state.

The BJP also alleged that the Congress was misusing the office of the Chief Minister for the elections and press releases of Congress leaders were being released from the official ID of the CM. He also raised doubts over the Congress advertisements and accused that black money might used for it.
