Congress to take up poll defeat as a challenge: Bali

Senior Congress leader and Food and Civil Supplies, Technical Education and Transport minister GS Bali has taken a responsibility of poor show of Congress party in the Kangra district. He said the Congress party would take up the poll defeat as a challenge and work hard to improve its position.

While interacting with the media, Bali stated that the party could not apprehend the strong marketing strategy of the BJP. He stated that the Congress was overconfident and poor management, wrong choice of candidate and its leadership are collectively responsible for the defeat of the party in the Lok Sabha poll.

Bali revealed that he had informed the party high command about the wrong selection of candidates and poor position of the party in the Kangra constituency. He said that even during the election campaigning, he had informed the party high command about the poor campaigning of the Congress in Kangra parliamentary constituency.

He ridiculed the statements of BJP leaders that the Congress government would fall before its term. Bali ensured that Congress led state government will complete its term and lead development of the state into the right direction.

He advised the elected BJP representatives to present their road map for the development of the state within three months of their taking oath and asked them to fulfill their poll promises within stipulated time period.
