Una: Upbeat with the impressive show in the parliamentary election, in which BJP won all four seats in the state and attain absolute majority in the centre, Himachal Pradesh BJP now training its guns against Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and putting pressure on him to resign from the post on moral ground.

Most of BJP leaders, including former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, have asked Singh to resign in a wake of losing confidence of the people of the state. BJP leaders quip that Congress could manage lead in only eight assembly segments of the state and drubbed in other sixty.

BJP state president Satpal Singh Satti stated that the Congress led state government hasn’t initiated any developmental activities in the state and was busy in to register false and fabricated cases against BJP leaders.

BJP president said that people of the state has given a befitting response to the non-performing and vindictive Congress government.

Targeting ministers, he said Virbhadra was surrounded by ministers, who were misleading him for their vested interests. Taking on Industry Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, the BJP chief said the performance of the minister in his home segment Haroli was dismal as the election results were not in lines with his claims of having brought schemes worth Rs 1,400 crore in the segment.

Satti claimed that despite providing freebies of crores of rupees from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund in the segment, Congress failed to divert electorates’ attention from its non-performing tag.
