Kathyana/Shimla: A Shimla bound HRTC bus (HP-03B-6038) rolled down at Kathiyana near Dhami in Shimla district this morning, which leaves 2 dead and 18 others injured.
Injured passengers were immediately rushed to the Indira Gandhi Medical College hospital where the driver and a passenger succumbed to their injuries. Other injured reported stable.
The reason of accident is not known yet, but as per report, ill fated bus was about to depart from Kathiyana, but before leaving the bus station, it rolled down about 100 feet.
Chief Minister after his return from the two day tour of Spiti Valley, rushed to the IGMC to inquire about the well being of injured.
He directed the doctors to provide best possible treatment to the injured. He also said that a magisterial probe would be ordered to ascertain the cause of the accident, adding that the PWD authorities have already been directed to repair and maintain all the roads throughout the State on priority.
Meanwhile a sum of rupees 25 thousand was given as an immediate relief to the next of the kin of the deceased and rupees 10 thousand each to the injured.
