Giving rest to all speculation, the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh has announced to provide land for Indian Institute of Management (IIM) at Dhaulakuan near Nahan town in Sirmaur district.

The chief minister Virbhadra Singh made this announcement at the state level Independence Day function at Nahan town today.

Dhaulakuan is about 20 KM from the Nahan town on the Paonta Sahib Road. It’s known for orchards of citrus plants and mangoes. It also has a fruit processing factory that processes different kinds of juices, pickles, jams and canned fruits.

There is a research station of the Himachal Pradesh Agricultural University in Dhaula Kuan, famous for conducting research on tropical fruits.

The Chief Minister also announced to set up Government Engineering College at Kotla near Jeuri in Shimla district.
