Himachal Day celebrated in International Trade Fair

Himachal Day

Himachal Day was celebrated in International Trade Fair being organized at New Delhi. R.D. Dhiman, Principal Secretary, Industries inaugurated the Himachal Day. Cultural troupes from various districts of Himachal Pradesh performed on the occasion.

Dhiman said that rich cultural heritage was the real identity of the State which was reflected from the fairs and festivals. He appreciated the performance of various cultural troupes.

He said that women entrepreneurs were encouraged in the Himachal Pavilion. He said that State Government was concentrating on the empowerment of womenfolk and various women Self Help Groups were doing yeoman service for the society. He said that various stalls of Women Self Help Groups were installed in the Pavilion.

Director Industries Rajender Singh said that State Government had initiated various steps for the encouraging the self help groups at rural level so that economic activities could be generated at grass root level.

Arun Sharma, Director, Language, Art and Culture welcomed the distinguished guests on the occasion.

S.S. Guleria, General Manager, Himachal Pradesh Small Industrial Corporation and other senior officers were present on the occasion.
