The Himachal Pradesh BJP has accused the state government for making backdoor appointments. Former Himachal Pradesh chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and state party president Satpal Singh Satti blamed the government for making appointments in departments, boards, corporations and banks in non-transparent manner.

BJP leaders, in their joint press statement, claimed that the government is even intending to bring a policy to regularise these illegally appointments before the forthcoming state assembly elections.

BJP veterans claimed of “era of backdoor appointments is back” and demanded impartial enquiry into the allegations. They stated that reports of illegal appointments in education, forest departments, bank were making round, but now reports of such irregularities in the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) are also pouring in. BJP leaders raising question over the appointments of utility workers government and blamed government for not following any procedure. They claimed that appointments were making only to accommodate favourites of ministers and members of board of directors.

BJP leaders termed it a gross injustice to educated unemployed youth and promised to initiate a high level enquiry on its return to power.

The BJP leaders said the countdown for the Congress led State Government has begun and realising that the party would not return to power, its leaders were looting the state. They said that land, mining, forest, liquor and transfer mafias were flourishing under the congress regime and BJP will include all irregularities in its chargesheet with all necessary evidences, and enquire when come in power.
