Acharya Devvrat

Bilaspur: Governor Acharya Devvrat today said that the youth were the biggest asset of any nation and the youth having good moral values and education makes it a great nation.

The Governor, while presiding over the prize distribution ceremony of group song competition organised by Bharat Vikas Parishad in Makri-Markand Panchayat of Sadar development block of Bilaspur district, said youth always play vital role in development of the country and it was the duty of the elders to guide them in achieving their goals in the life and also contributing towards the betterment of the nation.

He stressed that it was important to inculcate moral values and virtues in the children from the very beginning so that they grew up as disciplined and responsible citizens. He expressed concern over the fact that today the younger generation was not much concerned with the cultural heritage adding that it was our responsibility to make them aware about the importance of rich culture and high values. Acharya Devvrat said

“Britishers ruled over India for a long period of time and Lord Macaulay strategically destroyed our education system so that they could rule over this country. Today, we need to preserve our culture and give good values to our children so that no force could harm our culture and integrity”

He advised students to read the biographies of great leaders and thinkers so that they get inspiration to lead a successful life.

The Governor also released a souvenir of Parishad and distributed the prizes to the winners of group song competition.
