Bilaspur: Bharatiya Janata Party today started the second phase of its campaign ‘Hisab Maange Himachal’. Party launched two video series by the names of ‘Vidhayak Ji Jawab do’ and ‘Main Hoon Himachal’ in a press conference here today.

Union Health Minister JP Nadda, Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Prem Kumar Dhumal, Thavar Chand Gehlot, Mangal Pandey, party state incharge, Anurag Thakur, MP and Satpal Satti, state BJP president were present on the occasion.

Dhumal, while addressing the media, stated the first phase of Hisab Mange Himachal garnered state-wide support and the second phase is being rolled out with the launch of two distinct video series aimed at leveraging public discontent against INC government into citizen action.

He said that under ‘Vidhayak Ji Jawab do’ series would feature 36 video based chargesheets against 36 Congress legislatures where citizens are demanding accountability from their MLAs for governance failures and unfulfilled promises of the past 5 years.

Former Chief Minister claimed that these video expose the reality of Congress rule in the state, and ruling legislatures were sleeping over their political positions and as a result, no development work had taken place in their constituencies.

Dhumal listed water shortage, dilapidated state of roads, inadequate transportation services, lack of staff in schools and health institutions and an atmosphere of insecurity as some of the problems ailing Himachal Pradesh under Congress rule.

Regarding ‘Main Hoon Himachal’, Dhumal stated that this is a campaign to bring out the issues of the citizens of Himachal Pradesh through real and everyday problems that they face. These videos bring out the insensitive and incompetent tenure that that INC has had in the state.

He claimed that the state has been gripped by various kinds of Mafias operating under the patronage of the the State government. He quoted

“There is a parallel Mafia government running in Himachal. Apart from playing with the lives of Himachalis, the Mafia has devastated the state of Himachal’s economy. The money that should have been spend on the development of Himachal has found its way to the pockets of Himachali MLAs.”

Dhumal said that in Virbhadra regime unemployment has reached at its highest level and women across Himachal feel unsafe today. Government employees have to knock on the court’s doors to get their pensions. Anganwadi workers who work at the frontlines of rural health care have been denied fair compensation for their indispensable services, he further added.

Dhumal further stated that various mediums would be used to take these videos to the people of Himachal Pradesh including Facebook, YouTube and Parivartan Raths. There are 7000 WhatsApp groups made by the IT Cell of the BJP and these groups would also be leveraged to take the message of these videos to the citizens of Himachal Pradesh.
